The Art of Marvel's Spider-Man with Insomniac Games

The Art of Marvel

What goes in to creating the art for a AAA console game? How does that change when said AAA game features a beloved superhero franchise? Insomniac Games will give us the lowdown on Thursday, January 31st as they take the Lenovo Stage at Gnomon to talk all things art for their latest title—Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Visual effects artists, aspiring game developers, and Spider-Man fans alike will all have something to look forward to as the Insomniac Games art team takes a holistic view of the game's art before breaking it down into disciplines. Topics will include both character and environment modeling, visual effects, rigging, animation, overall art direction, and more! Not only will attendees come away with a better understanding of many of the key roles necessary in creating a AAA console game, they'll also get an awesome, insider's look at processes and workflows behind the game art.

Seating is limited, so be sure to RSVP and arrive in good time to secure a place in line. Attendee check-in will open at approximately 6:30 PM; a valid Eventbrite RSVP will be required to get an event wristband. For those unable to attend, this event will be streamed, so be sure to follow our Twitch channel!

Gnomon School of VFX's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
