Substance Day Los Angeles 2018
Join us on Wednesday, October 17th for an evening of all things Substance as we welcome Allegorithmic and some amazing artists for Substance Day at Gnomon. The event will kick-off with a welcome address from Allegorithmic Founder and CEO Sébastien Deguy, feature Substance suite masterclasses with Javier Perez and Blair Armitage, and will close with a meet and greet and opportunity to network with your fellow Substance community members.

7:00 pm | Welcome Address by Allegorithmic Founder & CEO Sébastien Deguy: What's coming next to the world of Substance
7:30 pm | Substance Designer Masterclass with Javier Perez, Senior Material Artist - Intrepid Studios: Javier will reveal his workflow, tips, and tricks as he walks through his process for creating a Viking axe in Substance Designer.
8:30 pm | Substance Painter Masterclass with Blair Armitage, Character Artist - Riot Games: Blair will breakdown her approach to texturing her most recent character project in Substance: Tifa Lockhart. Inspired by the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake and the amazing work of the FFXV character team, she will cover how she updated her original design with new elements in Substance Painter.
9:30 pm | Meet & Greet and Community Networking
Gnomon School's full-time programs and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
