Developing Mythical Character Concepts in ZBrush – Demo and Q&A
Join us on Thursday, March 3rd, at 7:30 pm for an evening with Jared Krichevsky, Character and Creature Artist from The Aaron Sims Company. Six years of experience working at the Los Angeles-based design and visual effects studio have offered Jared the opportunity to craft all manner of creatures and characters to satisfy a range of challenging briefs. His credits include Wonder Woman,Underworld 5, Pete’s Dragon, Independence Day: Resurgence, and many more films currently in production. Jared will share insight into a selection of his personal and professional works, including concepts recently designed for Gods of Egypt. As well as discussing his role in the design process for films and revealing how he utilizes ZBrush to craft movie-quality concepts, he will also give a live demo to display his techniques in action. His showpiece will be a unique interpretation of a mythological god. “I always look forward to talking with students and ZBrush fanatics alike, but I'm most excited to be up on the Gnomon stage; it's a great honor,” Jared says.

Guest Speakers
Jared Krichevsky is a Gnomon Alumnus of the full-time certificate program, who graduated in 2010. Before studying at Gnomon, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Fine Arts at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. Upon completing the Gnomon program, Jared started a position at The Aaron Sims Company as a Character and Creature Artist, where he continues to work today. His film credits include Noah, I, Frankenstein, Maleficent, The Wolverine, Jupiter Ascending, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), and more recently, Krampus. Jared is a ZBrush instructor at Gnomon, teaching creature modeling and sculpting. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two dogs.
