Anatomy Lab: Stylized Creature Design Workshop

ANATOMY LAB: STYLIZED CREATURE DESIGN WORKSHOP

Gnomon’s highly anticipated Anatomy Lab event returns this September, bringing celebrated 2D and 3D artists to the stage to inspire and educate. The event will kick off at 11 AM (PT) on September 9th with live animal sketching by Andrea Adams, featuring animal expert Mollie Hogan and Boxer, the beautiful serval. Chris Ayers will take the stage for the second session of the day, discussing his incredible The Daily Zoo project – for which he has drawn an animal a day for over 11 years – and giving a live demonstration in Photoshop to detail his process when illustrating stylized creatures. The event will culminate with Gnomon alumni Krystal Sae Eua and Servando Lupini: Krystal’s in-depth ZBrush workshop will walk the audience through her complete sculpting process, from block-out to adding a stylized finish; and Servando will wrap up the day by revealing his digital-painting pipeline for fully rendered Illustrations in Photoshop. Expect tips and tricks galore. Additionally, attendees at the Gnomon Stage will have the chance to meet and sketch Boxer the serval during the event intermission.

The event is free to attend and suitable for artists of all levels. RSVP or follow along on Livestream. The guest speakers will take questions from both the stage audience and Livestream viewers during the live event (Tweet questions using #gnomon on Twitter).
