An Introduction to Clarisse iFX
Thursday, October 10th, 2019, 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
On Thursday, October 10th join the Isotropix team and Danny Janeveski from DreamWorks Animation for an in-depth exploration of Clarisse iFX, a fully-interactive toolset for set dressing, lookdev, lighting, and rendering. Used by studios like DNEG, ILM, and Scanline VFX, Clarisse iFX has helped create and render environments for projects such as Bladerunner: 2049, First Man, Avengers: Endgame, Game of Thrones, and more.
During the event, the Isotropix team will reveal everything you need to know to get started in Clarisse iFX as they walk audiences through building an environment from scratch. After covering the basics, Danny Janeveski will demonstrate what artists can do with the program at a professional level when he talks through some of the pieces he’s created with Clarisse. Whether you've never heard of Clarisse iFX or want to explore the program more, this event will be a great introduction to a toolset that's used across the visual effects and animation industries.
Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP and arrive in good time to secure a place in line. Attendee check-in will open at approximately 6:30 PM and a valid Eventbrite RSVP will be required to get an event wristband. Admission is first-come first-served and a wristband does not guarantee entry in cases that the stage reaches capacity.
Attendees are welcome to join a guided tour of Gnomon before the event. If you'd like to schedule a tour, please email outreach@gnomon.edu. If you are unable to attend the event in person, you can watch the live stream on our Twitch Channel.
Gnomon's Bachelor of Fine Arts, Certificate in Digital Production, and 10-week individual courses are designed to develop well-rounded artists that are skilled in the diverse disciplines within 3D production. For those outside of the US, virtual classroom-style online courses are also available.
